Hoshindo Healing (2019)

FIRE AND SAND (2018)

Filmed on the Big Island of Hawai'i during the eruption Kilauea in 2018, 'Fire and Sand' documents healing in the wake of environmental destruction, meanwhile exploring the Hawaiian myth of Pele, Goddess of the volcano.

'Fire and Sand' is the winner of the 2019 Social Justice Award in the Santa Fe Film Festival, won "Best Hawai'i Film" in the Honolulu Film Awards, and the "2019 Media Award" for the Hawai'i Psychological Association.

 

Fire and Sand' has already been translated into Mandarin and Indonesian for educational purposes.

HOPS, HOPES, & DUCKS (2014)

In 2014, Sarah participated in a 6-week "DIY Documentary" filmmaking class in Portland, Oregon. There, she created her first documentary film, "Hops, Hopes, and Ducks," the light-hearted story of a group of college students hoping to start their own brewery.
